Meteor Tear Quest (the Love Letter)

Requirements: none to start — but the final step needs 1 Meteor and 1 Amrita (a cheap drugstore wine). Reward: a MeteorTear — a rare keepsake said to be a meteor moved to tears by true love.

A short, story-driven courier quest across three cities: a song, a letter, a lost lover, and a meteor that learns to cry.

Walkthrough

1. Milly — Phoenix Castle (804,461). Listen to her sad song and offer to help: she entrusts you with a letter for her sister Minner, who waits on Bird Island for her lost lover Joe.
2. Minner — Bird Island (707,545). Deliver the letter. Agree to help find Joe, and she gives you the GuardianStar — the love token Joe once gave her.
3. Stock up. Buy a bottle of Amrita at any drugstore (Joe is parched in the desert heat — he will not talk business with a thirsty stranger, though he never actually takes your bottle), and bring 1 Meteor.
4. Joe — Desert City (77,326), west of the town. With the Amrita, the Meteor and the GuardianStar in your bag, hear him out. He engraves his love on your Meteor — consuming it and the GuardianStar — and hands you the SadMeteor.
5. Back to Minner. Give her the SadMeteor and hear the end of the story. She rewards you with a MeteorTear.

Notes

• The quest items live in your bag — you can pause the quest at any point and pick it up later.
• If you refuse to help Minner after handing over the letter, the letter is delivered and gone — visit Milly again for a new one.
• The MeteorTear currently has no consumer — hold on to it. (Rumour says a certain Market lady who deals in broken hearts will want one, one day.)

How our version differs

• This quest is a faithful rebuild of the original — same NPCs, same items, same reward. The only difference: the MeteorTear's classic use (divorce) is not in the game yet, so for now it is a collectible.
