Reclaim the Royal Treasures: the Blue Mouse

Who: level 70 and up. Where: General Judd in Twin City, the Old Miner in Phoenix Castle, and the Mine Cave under Twin City, where the mouse runs. What you get: Meteors -- two to ten per catch, and silver on top for the rarest prize.

A blue mouse has robbed the royal vault and hides in the mine. It cannot be fought; it has to be caught, and the only thing that catches it is a needle hammered from a gem.

1. A gem becomes a needle

Bring the Old Miner in Phoenix Castle one normal gem (the plain kind, not refined or super):

The gem is spent; the needle goes in your bag. A gold needle catches the finer treasures.

2. Down the mine

The Mine Admin in Twin City sends you into the Mine Cave. The mouse runs the great cavern -- three of them at a time, scurrying about. Keep the needle in your bag (dropping it is how people lose them) and simply click the mouse.

• Most clicks it slips away and bounds a dozen paces off. Chase it, or bring a friend to cut it off. A missed grab costs nothing -- the needle is spent only on a catch.
• When you catch it, the needle is used up, the mouse vanishes and it drops one of the royal treasures into your bag. Another mouse turns up in the cavern a few minutes later.
• The mine is a PK zone. So is the mouse hunt.

3. General Judd pays

Take the treasure to General Judd in Twin City. He buys every one, as often as you bring them:

So a gold needle is worth about five Meteors on average and a silver one about two and a half -- a fair trade for a normal gem, and one you can repeat.
