The Outfitter's level packages
Twin City keeps someone whose job is to see that no newcomer fights in rags. Every ten levels up to seventy there is a package waiting for you, cut for your class -- and you may take each one exactly once.
Where
The Outfitter stands in Twin City at (421, 378), a few steps from where the Scholar sets you down when you first arrive. Click him and he lists whatever you have not yet taken.
What is in a package
Levels 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 and 70, each holding the best Unique gear of its band that your class can wear. The slots take turns -- a package is two or three pieces, not a whole wardrobe, so nothing you are given is thrown away ten levels later:
| Package | What is in it |
|---|---|
| 10 | weapon, armour |
| 20 | helmet, boots |
| 30 | weapon, necklace, ring |
| 40 | armour, boots |
| 50 | weapon, helmet, ring |
| 60 | armour, necklace |
| 70 | weapon, boots, ring |
The weapon comes round most often, because it is the piece you feel most.
- The weapon comes with an open socket. That is the part of a package that outlives the ten levels it was given for -- the piece itself you will replace, but a socket is worth twelve DragonBalls at the Weapon Smith.
- Potions, always. A Taoist gets both kinds, because mana is half of what a Taoist spends.
- Arrows for an Archer, at whatever grade your level can fire.
- Trojans and Warriors are asked which weapon they want -- blade, sword, hook, axe, hammer or club -- because both classes wield most of them and a blade handed to a club fighter is a gift to the vendor, not to you.
- Some packages are smaller still. There is not a Unique piece for every slot at every level; where the game has none, the package simply has none.
The two that carry more
- Level 40 and level 70 also hold what your next promotion asks for, so you need not go down the mine for it before you can be promoted.
- Level 70 additionally holds an ExpPotion -- drink it when you have a clear hour to hunt and every kill in it counts double.
Worth knowing
- Missing the level costs you nothing. Arrive at 45 having never visited and every package up to 40 is still waiting.
- Once each, for the life of the character. The Outfitter keeps a list.
- Bring bag room. He will tell you how many free slots a package needs and keep it for you until you have them.
- Past level 70 you have outgrown his shelves -- what you need then, you take from the world.
