The requirement on your skill is the one you meet

A short restart. Everything below is live.

The requirement on your skill is the requirement you meet

Open a skill and the client tells you what it needs: "Upgrade after lvl 45". That number is now the one the server enforces.

It was not. We had been reading the requirement out of a different field of the client's own data -- one that agrees with the printed number on most skills, which is exactly why it went unnoticed. On the weapon skills that fire by themselves it does not agree, and a player reading his own client caught it.

The skills that fire by themselves are easier at the bottom than we had them. Phoenix, Rage, Snow, Seizer, Boom, Earthquake, Celestial, Penetration, Roamer, Wide Strike, Boreas, Halt, Speed Gun and Stranded Monster now ask 15 / 30 / 45 for their first three steps, where we had been asking 30 / 40 / 50. Cure is easier too -- 10 / 20 / 30.

Two are stricter, and we would rather say so than have you find out. Stigma asks level 55 for its first three steps and Magic Shield asks 50, where both had been reading 40.

A skill that cannot advance yet tells you, and stops taking your training

If your character is not yet the level a skill's next step needs, the bar no longer fills to the top and freezes there looking broken. It does not move at all, and you are told once which level to reach.

Nothing is banked and nothing is wasted: the step lands the moment your character levels, not on your next cast. And every level now starts its bar at zero, so the first use after an advance visibly moves it.

Five characters had a skill above the ladder

Five skills across five characters sat higher than any level requirement allows -- they had climbed there while the requirements were wrong. Each is set back to the highest level its owner's character level permits, with the bar cleared. They earn it back by playing, and now the number on screen is what they are earning toward.

The war prize is unlocked by the war, not by the calendar

Take the castle and the 1000 CPs are collectable the moment the fighting stops, by whoever holds the map.

The office used to pay Monday to Friday, once per week -- which refused a Saturday winner twice over: the weekday window was shut, and the guild they had just beaten had often drawn that week's income days before losing the map. The calendar is out of it. One war, one payment, to the winner, straight away.

The Finance Officer also answers properly when he cannot pay, instead of one sentence that covered every reason without naming any.

Leaving the Death Tactic costs 50 CPs

It asked 500. That was ten times what it should be for a way out of the maze's worst room.
