The Rules of the Realm

Every world needs its law, and ours is now written down: the Terms of Service are live, linked from every page's footer and from the registration form.

The short version, honestly:

• We are in open beta. The world is live and being tuned, and we reserve the right to reset characters when the beta ends -- and we will do everything we can to avoid a wipe. Your progress matters to us; that is exactly why the beta exists.
• Donations are voluntary, always. If you ever support the server's costs, it is a gift toward keeping the world running -- never a purchase, never an advantage, and non-refundable. Never give money you are not comfortable simply giving.
• Fair play is the law. No bots, no hacks, no exploit abuse, no buying or selling accounts or items for real money. Report what you find broken and you make the game better for everyone.
• Multiple clients are fine. Playing two characters at once is part of classic Conquer. Automating them is not.

Nothing about how you play changes today. The rules simply say out loud what has always been true -- and now, if the rules ever materially change, you will read about it here first.
