Patch Notes

Everything you reported, part two

September 1, 2026 · by Aurenfall Team

Another round of things you told us about, fixed, tested and confirmed. The bigger pieces from the last two days -- General Long's trials, the Newbie Help packages, the monster health bar -- had their own post; this is everything else that was waiting.

Hunting and levelling

  • Every kill names its own reward. After a kill a line at the top-left says what the monster actually paid -- after the server rate, the double-exp hour, a blessing and your Rainbow gems -- so you can tell at once whether it was worth the time.
  • Cyclone and Superman grow by one second per kill, not two. You can keep the buff alive but never build it up, so the 180-second cap is a backstop rather than the real limit.
  • A skill that has outgrown your level trains to its threshold and waits. When its next level needs a character level you have not reached, the bar fills, stops, tells you once why, and the skill rises the moment you level up.
  • The level cap says so. At level 130 nothing grants character experience -- the server now says it once a session instead of leaving you to wonder whether experience is broken.
  • The Sky Maze. Eight new monsters of our own, levels 123 to 130, on the three sky-maze floors above the Ice Crypt -- and the Ice Crypt itself, which had been unreachable, now opens from the Adventure Zone. The maze's attack was cut the same evening it shipped: the first numbers one-shot a level-130 in refined gear, which is a wall, not a hard zone. There is a guide.
  • The Meteor Zone earns its name: a 50% richer rare stream -- Meteors, DragonBalls and +3/+4 stones together -- making it the best hunting ground in the game, ahead of the Ice Crypt.
  • An ExpBall pays what it promises. It gave exactly twice its description; every time-priced reward (ExpBalls, offline training, UnknownMan, Shelby) now pays face value.
  • Arrow packs can be poured together. Drag one quiver onto another and the arrows combine -- including into the quiver you are holding.
  • Dropped items lie for 45 seconds instead of a minute. A lying item is something every client in range must draw, and a busy spawn with a minute of loot on the ground costs frames.
  • A DragonBall drop is announced to the whole world -- the place, never the name.

Events

  • The Bounty says what, where and for how long. The opening announcement names the quarry, where to find it and the time left, and the half-hourly reminder repeats it -- in the chat log, so you need not catch a fading line. Milestones at 1,000, 10,000 and 100,000 kills are heralded too.
  • MeteorSanta bounds. He stands still for his first minute, then leaps across the city along one of four routes drawn for each town -- routes walked over the real ground, so the chase never ends in a courtyard you cannot enter. Anyone flashing blue near him is struck down.
  • Events and GM boosts survive a restart. The Bounty's standings and any running boost were being lost on every deploy; they persist now.

Towns and NPCs

  • Captain Li opens the prison. A trip down costs 1,000 silver, the gate never locks behind a visitor, and inside nobody drops loot and nobody may trade -- a floor to cool off on. Guide.
  • The daily hunt masters hand over the next task directly. After a turn-in there is an "I'll take it" option; you no longer have to know to click the giver twice.
  • The material vault takes scrolls. "Store all my Meteors" counts packed scrolls as well as loose ones, so what came out can go back in.
  • NPC dialogs wrap wider. Every line is now measured against the widest letters, so long sentences stop breaking mid-word.

Rebirth

  • Eternity says up front what a rebirth takes. Choosing a class opens a confirmation naming exactly what that path grants and forgets, read from the same table the rite itself runs on. The rebirth planner lets you try every combination before you commit.

Website, launcher, Discord

  • The Discord link is correct everywhere at once -- the site and the launcher both read it from one place.
  • A corner dock on every page: the Discord invite and a bug-report button. Player reports land in their own quarantine where staff sort them.
  • The drop-rate guide is computed, not written: every number is read from the live game, so a retune can never leave it lying. Guide.
  • A client tip that promised a house is gone. The client shipped hints about housing, a system that does not exist here; the text now describes something that does.
  • Launcher 1.5.6: when the game is already running and an update is waiting, the launcher says so in one sentence instead of showing a raw error.
